Daisy Wilson BSc (Hons) MCSP

Daisy qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist 18 years ago at The Universtiy of East Anglia. Following graduation Daisy specialised as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in the Hammersmith Hospitals NHS trust in London. Daisy moved to Dubai in 2005 with her husband. There, she worked for 12 years in a highly regarded private sports injuries clinic, working closely with the team of physios, nurses, sports physicians and surgeons.

In addition to this, Daisy worked with the Porsche team during the “Le Mans 24 hour race” held annually in Dubai, at the Dubai Rugby 7s 2005-2016 as a tournament Physiotherapist, at all Dubai marathons from 2005-2016 offering roadside Physiotherapy and at various music concerts, including the Dubai leg of the Justin Bieber Tour in 2015.

Daisy’s post-graduate qualifications include acupuncture, dry needling, STOTT Pilates, hydrotherapy and manipulation. Daisy has a “hands on” approach to her treatments and enjoys assessing and treating all manner of injuries and ailments from the Neck and Jaw to the Foot and Ankle.

Daisy repatriated to the UK and joined Novo Physiotherapy in Sept 2018. She lives locally with her husband, 4 children and dog and enjoys a multitude of sports… when time allows!

Katy Billington BSc (Hons) MCSP

Katy is a dynamic, skilled physiotherapist, and the newest member to the Novo team. With a passion for improving lives through movement and a solid educational background, Katy has been a great addition to the team.

Katy's journey to become a physiotherapist began at Manchester University where she gained a first-class degree in Anatomical Science. Her deep understanding of the human body laid a strong foundation for her physiotherapy career. Eager to expand her knowledge and practical skills, she pursued a Masters degree in Physiotherapy from Oxford Brookes University.

Alongside her work with Novo, Katy works as a rotational physiotherapist at University Hospital Southampton. Beyond this, Katy is actively involved in the community, running weekly NASS (National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society) exercise and hydrotherapy classes. Her commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and holistic well-being extends to her part-time role on elective orthopaedics at Nuffield Health.

Outside of work, Katie rarely sits still, with her love of sports. These include, tennis, boxing, cycling and skiing.

James Gay BSc (Hons) MCSP

Clinical Director of Novo Physiotherapy Ltd, James graduated from the University of Southampton in 2008. After completing his core rotations with Solent NHS trust, he specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He quickly gained a team leader role within Southern Health Foundation Trust where he honed his craft of assessing and treating both acute and long term conditions. James is currently working as an operational lead for MSK services in Southern Health. Alongside this he is studying for an MBA.

James was a founding partner of Novo Physiotherapy Ltd and has enjoyed building the reputation of the business through providing rapid access to high quality therapy for the residents of Alresford and the surrounding areas.

Aside from physio, James is a keen sportsman. He is a recently retired rugby player, now coaching his sons at Tottonians RFC. Outside of this, he enjoys running and going to the gym.

Sophie Gay BSc (Hons) MRes MCSP

Sophie graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2009 and has gone on to have a varied career in clinical practice, research and most recently in Higher Education. Sophie’s role as co-director for Novo Physiotherapy helps to ensure that we are delivering the best care possible to our patients, in an efficient and effective manner, listening and acting upon patient feedback.
